What is your favorite class time?

5:30pm – It’s a big class. More gym friends in a class keeps me more motivated (my current schedule hasn’t been allowing me to get there at that time though). I really like Sat 8:30am for the same reason.

What is your favorite cross fit movement?

Deadlifting! It’s not just a crossfit movement but I feel strong when I DL.

What did you think of your first CrossFit experience?

My 1st Elements class was super scary b/c all the top gym athletes were leaving class when I walked in. My 1st reaction was, “this just isn’t going to be for me.” But I’m not one to walk away from a challenge, and super happy I stuck with it!

What do you feel is your biggest CrossFit accomplishment?

Being able to deadlift and back squat more than my body weight, and I am getting SO close to a strict pull-up, I am going to be so pumped when that happens!

What advice would you offer to someone just finishing Elements or thinking about trying CrossFit?

If you love it at first WOD, awesome! If you are intimidated, please stick it out. You will be capable of things you never imagined, and you’ll be in one of the most supportive groups you’ll ever be a part of. The coaches and other athletes really care about each other. It’s extremely motivating, fun, and inspiring!
