What is your favorite cross fit movement?

I really like cleans and jerk, and back squats is a close second.
What did you think of your first CrossFit experience?

I loved it!  To be honest I wish I started sooner.  I love how I don’t have to think about what to do when I go to the gym and I feel like I have a personal trainer.  The constant variation is exactly what I needed to improve my fitness. This experience has also improved my teaching, I have incorporated many functional body movements into my classes.

What advice would you offer to someone just finishing Elements or thinking about trying CrossFit?

( ha! I was just talking to a co worker about this today who just started). I told her to stick with it and know that it will get easier.  It may seem like everyone is better than you at everything, but in reality everyone is improving as well, and no one is watching and judging you, everyone is at class for the same reason you are, to work hard and learn something new.
 You will be amazed of how strong you can be and how much you can do.  Becoming healthier and more fit doesn’t happen over night, it takes time and if you can stick to a good routine and workout schedule you will see improvements!
What do you do when not at CrossFit?
I am a high school Health and PE teacher in Lincoln.  I volunteer coach in the community and I can also be found shuttling my two kids to practices etc almost every night of the week.  When I have spare time (summer break) you will find me at the beach or the pool with my husband and kiddos:)
