What is your favorite class time?
Probably 5:30am. I always feel like I have so much more energy during the day when I work out first thing in the morning.
What is your favorite cross fit movement?
I don’t know if I have a favorite movement in particular, but I like all of the Olympic lifts. Before CrossFit, I had never even picked up a barbell, so I liked learning about all of the different lifts. I also like being able to see how much I’ve improved on each lift since starting CrossFit.
What did you think of your first CrossFit experience?
I was hooked right from the beginning. I had done some boot camp type classes before trying CrossFit, but they got boring and repetitive after a while. When I started seeing the signs for a CrossFit, I was excited to try it.
What do you feel is your biggest CrossFit accomplishment?
I think my biggest accomplishment so far is participating in the Festivus Games. It was a great experience even though I was nervous going into it. Having a huge group of us there together made it much more fun and memorable!
What advice would you offer to someone just finishing Elements or thinking about trying CrossFit?
Don’t be nervous! It can be a little intimidating at first, but as long as you stick with it and work hard, you will definitely get a great workout every time. And the coaches are there to help and they want to see you improve, so don’t be afraid to ask questions.
What do you do when not at CrossFit?
When I’m not at CrossFit, I’m working at Amica as an accountant, and going to grad school to get my Master’s degree. I am also an advisor for my college sorority.
